They don't seem particularly insightful as some political cartoons can be, but they seem pretty "normal" to me.

Seem to be fear-mongering rather than political commentary or satire. Not particularly clever humour, that's for sure.

I quite like these:

Perhaps I am confused on what the definition of 'fear mongering' has become. So is it now defined as anything that is said in opposition to those you support?

Yes, you are confused - that's a straw-man argument, not fear-mongering.

If Slick Barry is elected, I wonder how he'll take 4 years of needling from the nation's cartoonists?

He did not react well to the New Yorker, and they are on his side.

He'll likely get a pass on much more than Bush did.
We know for sure he will not be portrayed as a monkey or chimp, as Bush routinely was.

So anything that is said in opposition to those you support is now a straw-man argument? Wow, you guys move fast with the re-defining.

Thanks for keeping me up to date.

All of the cartoons in the original OP are relevant as political cartoons since Obama is running for an office, and they are poignant in their way because the cartoons "may" seemingly exaggerate Obama's role in the situations depicted, they are all based upon the facts that surround the situations.

So yea, they are "good" political cartoons in that respect because they reflect the truth about the candidate in a humorous way.

They're certainly a lot better than some of the downright falsely cruel cartoons I've seen about Bush.
