Well the color I used on this Panther might be a really close match to the Lander Blue as well. Its Timyia TS-15. The outdoor pic was taken a few minutes ago and the indoor pic shows how dark the paint really is.

Ok, somebody here in Panther-Land has GOT to have SOME news; help an F-9 Junky out!

Anyone flying, tweaking, tuning, etc?

Anyone tried say Robart mechanical retracts on these yet in place of the higher dollar options out there?

Bueller, anyone?

Happy Flying!

Waiting on some decent weather here. The Panther is all fixed and ready to fly again.

I am in the process of ordering a second airframe. I'll be sending the decal sheet to Callie Graphics along with some images of the Golden Dragon image from The Bridges at Toko Ree movie. So hopefully in a few weeks those decals will be available in the thin vinyl Callie uses. That stuff is half or less as thick as the kit decals.

That sounds great, keep us posted on the decal set. I will soon order a second airframe as well. Blue Tail this time.

DD, its 38.5" span so I think roughly the same size yes. Its a scratch built sorta named a Profile Plus as its not all completely flat. It does have some depth to it.

Sorry Tim didn't mean to get off topic.

Grumble...mumble...growl #$%^$%^&*

First decent weather and I get out to the field and the retracts won't come down.

Dog gonit. All functions were working perfectly when I put the model in the car. I took it out, put it on the styrofoam stand and turned everything on. The gear wouldn't come down and it wouldn't adjust with the transmitter programming.

Further investigation revealed the styrofoam main gear servo "Pocket" had cracked and the servo was moving instead of the gear legs. A little eopxy and hot glue will fix that.

Darn lucky it did break, because in the moving about of bundles of wires to get at the main gear servo, one wire pulled out of the connector on the aileron Y harness which disabled the left aileron. Must have been damaged and came loose in the crash and I didn't catch it. The ailerons were working fine till I jiggled the wire bundle. Then the left aileron went nuts. If I had launched, simple g forces of a turn would have jiggled it enough to cause a disaster.

Still haven't figured how the main gear servo came loose just sitting in the car. I had checked it after the crash and it was good. Anyway, if the landing gear hadn't acted up, the plane would have surely crashed.

I bought 3 new Y harnesses to be sure and a new pack of hot glue sticks so now it's time to fix it and start waiting on the weather again.
