question

Hi guys. I want to buy this model. Give me please, what battery is best to put? What are the wheels? And there is in this model, the turning mechanism on wheels, or I have to do a rotation mechanism?

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=17248
I'm flying with those 6minutes and have time for 2 go arounds and still have juice. also balances perfectly ..
and get an 80 amp ESC I'm flying with a 60amp though :P Turnigy plush 60amp

if you are getting the plane from HK it will include the good

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=15092 these are the landing gears to get..
you will need some work to install... minimum work actually.. in fact the same work to convert the original mechanical ones to these because these are the exact same as the rclander

if you are getting the one with an edf unit and not the kit then the 4300kv is for 3S ONLY.. 4s will only last for a few minutes or couple of flights..

the e-retract mounts will always stick out 2-3mm. don't try to dig the foam too much.. that's the way it is for those wood blocks. otherwise you will end up witha hole on your wing
the CG is at 62mm from wing tip.. don't try the recommended 70mm .. you will end up super tailheavy and unable to land safely..

oh and also if you have a heavy plane like min at 1820g flying weight.. flaps are good.. they are good
of course the flaps add to the weight ..
God I'm flying too much thi aermacchi I have lately.. I miss my panther.. today is panther day..

Hey Pavcon, can you help me with the c of g on my panther? I put a 5000mah 409 gram battery in mine, balanced it as per the manual, 70mm, it balanced perfect but it flew like a brick, nose straight into the dirt, 0 lift with flaps, I tried balancing at your recommendation of 62mm and she is coming in tail heavy with my battery in the same position as before..no retracts on mine, hand launch.
Any advice much appreciated

my battery weights 485g and it's pushed as forward as possible.
is yours a 3s?
but if you balance at 70mm and comes tailheavy you don't make any sense..

btw you have to measure from where the wing is joining with the fuselage..

Thanks Pavcon, balanced it at 70mm from the wing join perfectly and it nosedived.. yes it is 3s with more than enough thrust, my throws on the elevator are set to their maximum of about 16mm each way.
When i tried to balance it at 62 mm that is when it came in tail heavy.

if you balance it at 70mm it will come more tailheavy.. what do you mean??
balancing at 62 ist means you have more weight on the front..
balancing at 70 means more weight to the back meaning tailheavy..
you are confusing me..
