Electrifly Edge 540T ARF - 50" Class


I just noticed that Tower is showing a new 50" Edge 540T aerobat ARF. It is listed as being one of the "E Performance Series. No video yet but I small picture is shown. Here is the Tower Press Release:

From the numbers it looks like it could be a really good flyer.

Airfoiled control surfaces on an airplane of this size is a nice touch.

i didnt see a hatch latch. thats one thing i really like about the 3dhs planes. price is right especially with the tower discounts and free shipping for memebers

The canopy hatch is kept on with magnets. Clean, light and simple.

Have you flown a 3DH plane with a hatch latch on? It has magnets too, but once you move to a hatch latch, there's no going back .

If the magents do the job...I do not see a need for a redundant latch.
