So close Steve..

Since you had the "I was there" advantage, I probably wouldn't give it to you, but alas you also made a mistake..

The hidden pylon racer is infact the Baudis quick, not an adrenalin 400..
(enter wrong buzzer sound here)

SOOOO close.. but no cigar.

Hey Bill.

The superman flies surprisingly well. Real good for a laugh.. !

It is originally an RC design, with 2 motors for diferential thrust for steering/climbing.
I removed all the insides, mounted a home wound CDrom motor and some 4 gram servos and cut a couple of ailerons. Runs on a 2S-1320 (big but required for balance). He has over 1:1, so climbs like superman.. (he definately is not made of steel.)

It is pretty stable, but once inverted it has a high tendency to flip over to upright again, due to the molded in dihedral. This creates some cool muliple roll characteristics, not exactly axial.. lol It also tends to wobble a little in higher winds, so I added a clear plastic vertical fin right down the centre of his cape (top). made it quite a bit better.

I'll was meaning to post a few more pics on my blog, just never got around to it..
Will do that soon.

If you want to get really technical..
The EF-16 is by Global hobby, not Wattage..
So actually you got 2 wrong..

When you go for your pilots licence, do they allow a "couple" of mistakes ?

No price..
