Only the Telemetry Stations need to be upgraded when upgrading to v3.x.

I am confused.

Why does the $39.95 upgrade say to send in the XDP unit. It says "You must return your transmitter module, receivers, XDP, and telemetry station if you want the full 3.x upgrade."
http://www.xtremepowersystems.net/pr...UPGRADE&cat=10

Am I misunderstanding something.
I'm planning on doing the upgrade since I have firmware version 2.1, 2.3 and 2.4 receivers.

You can not upgrade from 2.x to 3.x, we have to do it as it requires a firmware upgrade to the RF module which can never be done in the field. The XDP must also be returned to be upgraded.

If it works with v3.x devices, then it already has the proper RF firmware.

New firmware update for receivers! With v3.8 we added the support code for Graupner's telemetry radios so that failsafe positions and types can be set via the transmitter, and also added a reboot notification. If the system reboots after power has been connected, the LED will continously flash orange. During this time, you can't program the failsafe positions and the voltage monitoring will not change the color of the LED - it will always be flashing orange until both the transmitter and receiver are powered off.

We released new RxDiag and XDP programs to support the new Nano series receivers. You can download the full installer or use the auto-update function.

Nanos shipped with 3.7 then?

One of these days I'm going to have to buy myself an updater I guess.

Nano's have their own firmware version that is separate from the rest of the XtremeLink product line. They shipped with v1.0, Series II.

OK. so Nanos are still in field upgradeable though right, just no reason to upgrade them at this point?

I just got my 3 nanos in the mail. If I hurry I can fly a shelved plane before the end of the day
