FoamFly.com featured in the Feb. Q&EFI Magazine

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to tell you all to head down to your local hobby shop, and pick up a copy of the February issue of "Quiet and Electric Flight International." FoamFly.com is featured this month in the slowfly column.

A special thanks for Ian Dale, who came across my site by accident, and felt it was noteworthy enough for his column. Thanks Ian.

See you at the newsstand.

That's great news Dan!

I'll go and pick a copy up now. Maybe you can drum up some good business from this and develop some more cool products for us!

About time

Great. I'll have to get a copy.

It is about time, given all of your support for micro designs and the overal micro movement.

Good news.

My cleaning secret.

mr_wood,

I have the most powerful cleaning tool known to man: My Wife. She is almost pathological about cleaning things.

Sometimes that's good, and sometimes that's bad.

I hadn't got past how big it was to notice how clean it was That thing wouldn't fit in my kitchen.

I recognise that cover!

Funnily enough (A) You won't find many columnists who'll turn down anything reasonable sent to them for use in their writings, and (B) You won't believe how many small vendors never respond to requests for info and a couple of photos.

I write "Over Here" just along the Q&EFI corridor ( ) - mine's about anything I think looks like a quiet-ish sports model in the US, (or anywhere else I get it from - I date back to EFI days, when I covered the sports electric game) from Ian and actually negotiated with the editor for clearance to mention small kit & widget manufacturers.

I figure the big guys can buy their advertising, but the small guys are the ones who really propel this side of the game forwards big time.

Despite that offer, probably half the folk I contact for info never bother. Maybe free advertising in one of the few English quiet flight rags isn't worth that much?

You can come around and clean my cooker any time, BTW

Regards

Dereck

Thanks. That's good info.

Dereck,

I really appreciate the encouragement. I guess I'll have to get in touch with more magazines as things get rolling here. I'll be sure to bring my oven cleaner if she and I are ever in your neck of the woods.

Thanks,
-Dan

P.S. For those of you who haven't see that pic...

Great pic Dan!!!

I think if you blew it UP to about 10'x10', and bring it to the local contemporary arts center ,you could revive the Surrealist Movement , possibly even get a grant....

Sorry. I didn't see that...

Cue,

Sorry, I guess I missed that one. I can send one to you. They sell it at my local hobby shop, but I don't know what they're charging for it. I can send it out Priority mail for cost + $3.95 OR, you might be able to order it off the publishers site:
