The adapters came today! Now I can charge my Super Cub's new LiPo battery....

I'm going to run up to my LHS later on to see if they carry Anderson Power Poles, and if they do, my Super Cub will be flying by tomorrow!

Wow, you have improved something that I got from Gerry (Simano) who was the one that used his Dremal Tool like you did and cut away at certain locations on that STOCK Plactic Cage for the Super Cub.

I purposely left some cross beam "plastic" members such that when I do insert my battery the cross beam member keeps the battery snugg.

Your Hot Glue and Balsa will work great as well.

Waiting for the flight report Take your time!!! Don't mind us!!!

Thanks Carlos! I actually was planning on leaving some of those cross beams, but as I was cutting the cage, I noticed that I had already cut them off.
Hopefully the hot glue and balsa will hold up.

Update.... sort of.

Well, I hooked my watt meter up to the power system, and fired it up! I slowly pushed the throttle stick up. I quickly looked down at my watt meter and I was at 85 watts (not sure where my throttle was... maybe two or three clicks above 1/4 throttle), but then all of the sudden, the sound of the motor changed. I pushed the throttle stick all the way down and looked to see what had happened. Then I realized that the prop had came off!

I am pretty sure that I put it on right... so i'm not sure why the prop shot off like that. But maybe somebody can take a picture of how their prop is mounted to confirm that I did put it on right. Anyway, my battery in my DX7 is now dead again (only charged it for about 45 min), so I have decided to call it a night. I'm tired anyway, and something bad might happen if I try to fire the power system up again. I don't want to loose a finger or two...

I'll update you guys (again) in the morning....

Bill
