Thats the problem nowadays, shipping will kill most deals because it's become so expensive.

I would have bit at the F18 if not for that reason...

Ah..... in this case, we're not far apart. It's almost local.

That is the problem!! People want something for nothing. I have sold my self out cause of this and lost my ass on those deals. People should be happy that they are getting the nib kit at a way cheaper price than from a big company. Its not the sellers' fault that shipping is like 45.00-50.00$$ With insurance at ups. I hate that. You have lets say a 200.00 nib jet for instance and you are selling it for 160.00 lets say hypothetically. People want that price shipped!!! What the heck man. They should pay the shipping!!! The owner payed the 200.00 new and shipping on top of that. Thats why I say everyone one wants it for nothing. And that is not right. If you dont want to pay the shipping, than buy it new yourself. I can see if its put together and flown then, its somewhat understandable. But new its just ridiculous. I will never sell again like that. Small items are ok, but once you hit airframes that cost $$$ then forget it. I look at it this way and figure that if it doesnt sell then so be it!! It was meant to stay with me and be built then. You might need the dough but dont screw yourself trying to get it. Its like buying a new Ferrari and selling it with 2 miles on it for only $100,000.00.....thats nuts.
My $.02

That is the typical attitude on RCG Lav but in this case a buyer could simply go to warbirds-rc and get these kits shipped for practicaly the same price ie HET F-18 is 125.50 shipped through Marcos

Don't get me wrong as I have a couple of kits I could sell but I know I would lose my selling them because of shipping.

Economics pure and simple...

many people (and I am guilty of it too) buy on impulse when they see a price much lower than what they can buy from a online store. If the price you are selling at is not attractive then the temptation is much less since I can always buy from the store. Seller has the option that if you don't feel you get a good price simply don't sell. Buyers will negotiate the best deal they can pretty typical of any market place and RCG is no different. To me RCG is great.

I agree with Lavochkin....People get goofy on the impulse buy, especially on large airframes---BUILT....with the costs of freight now...people need to get educated. There are shipping costs for everything now...Man...look at just the gas costs as of last week.....My latest gain is the Gray Hound Bus....they ship for cheap---on large boxes...I shipped a airplane built in a box 72" X 18 x 14, weight of 32 lbs (mostly the box) from Cincinnati to LA for 42 bucks and change and it got there in 4 days.

I know the bus is a pain in the ass and most stations are located in bad parts of most major cities but the cost is good.
