The strange plug is indeed for those who fly using engines with glow plugs. It is designed to charge the glow plug clips that have a NiCd built in. The plug in question mimicks a glow plug so that you can charge the NiCd without removing it, instead just clipping the glow clip onto this 'plug'.

This is the only adapter they have that can charge 2x3s packs as a 6s pack.

Yes, that adapter works with the Turnigy as well as the MaxE6 and the other clones of this charger. As someone pointed out, your link doesn't work but this is the correct link:

Expected re-stock is late July.

Thanks Doubletap!
Sorry I just copied and pasted a link...guess I missed part of the URL.

This Turnigy charger seems to have everything all of the other more expensive chargers have including a one year warranty. Any ideas on why you would pay more?

Does this charger seems to balance as well as the Max E6? Anyone know?

All depends on the quality of the charger and how accurate the voltages are. The initial review earlier in this thread seems good but I'd like to see more people test out this charger. I'll be one of the them as I should receive my unit in a couple weeks.

I wonder about the warranty. If you need to use it, who and where do you ship the unit to?

At these prices warranty is pretty much worthless IMO. One will probably spend just as much for shipping only.

Agreed. It's more trouble than it's worth to ship a $40 charger overseas for warranty work.
