No Del Montess This spot is about 30 miles South of Eureka CA and 10 miles south of our home, on the eel river. This grove has a tree they call the imortal tree. there are some trees here that are 15 to 20 feet in diameter and some 350 feet tall. I do have rocks to crawl on, this is a spot we use a lot 2 miles from home.

o ok, that spot looked really similar to a spot on one of the hikes we've done a few times.
looks like some killer areas you have near you!

Here is my Crawler, (if you can call it that?)

Video driven offroad, sort of crawler car.

3 Axis camera, (pan, tilt, roll) control by a head tracking device. (The camera mimicks my real head movements.)
Long range radio control system.
Long Range live video system.
Driven via live video feed into Video Goggles.
Hi Def onboard recording.
9 radio channels used.
Aditional Gyro control on camera pan or roll, depending on how i feel
And a driver, BlueBox tank mechanic seemed to be about the right scale.
Working steering wheel
Working shift

FPV Gone in 60 secs from the cockpit SHEEP CHASING Amazing lakes (6 min 10 sec)

cheers

Hey wannabe,
I have much of the info in my RCG blog, have a look there for the general setup info etc.

If you still want to get into video driving or flying, send me a PM with your email address, and i'll email you the exact details and links on where to get the best stuff at the best price, and help you get set up right.

cheers.

Wow, that's really cool. Gives you a whole different perspective. Not quite my thing, but very neat nonetheless.
