Piper Super Cub

I'm considering building my first balsa r/c plane, and I've decided on a Piper Super Cub "Alaskan-bush" edition. I don't know if they make them like that, but I can fabricate landing gear and make or find big balloon tires if need be. Are there any kits for similar planes with around 48" wingspans?

Hobby Lobby makes a nice flying supercub kit for a geared 400. Wingspan is 46.5" and I have a blast with mine. My Dad has one too and is now rebuilding it with ailerons.

Moderated. Severely.

www.houseofbalsa.com makes four nice cub kits. Lasercut and peices are marked. Super quality.

They make two micro cubs - One with ailerons, one without 36" wingspan

Two larger cubs - One with ailerons, one without. 52" wing span. I've built one of each size, one with the ailerons one without, and loved them both. They also are pretty cheap kits for the quality. And with the effort in the kit, they are great for a first time builder.
