My RC experiences thus far...

Hello world!

This post collects a brief account of all my RC experiences in one place. I've been flying RC since 2006 and it's been a blast. I've been wanting to make a post like this for a long time, so I hope you enjoy it! Feel free to comment or ask questions too! I'll add pictures where they represent something unique or a custom covering job I did.

Here goes my list:

Parkflyers owned:

- Multiplex Easy Star RTF
I beat the crap out of my Easy Star learning to fly RC. I even slope soared it all over.
- ParkZone Stryker C RTF

- Stevens AeroModel Squirt 400
Ripmax Extra 16A ESC
Kokam 3s 2100mAh 11.1v lipo
Berg 7P
HS-55 (4)
APC 9x6 prop
For this plane, I built my own carbon fiber landing gears with pre-preg carbon fiber. They turned out to be way too stiff (too many plies), but it was a really cool project (see pics).
- Multiplex Minimag
E-flite 25A ESC
Impulse & ParkZone 3x 2100mAh 11.1v lipos
Berg 4L
HS-55s (4)
6x4 prop
I flew the Minimag a couple times with onboard camera & video goggles for FPV.
- Flash EPP
Hacker A20-20L
Thunderbird 18 ESC
Thunder Power 3s 1320mAh 11.1v lipo
Berg 7P
HS-55 (4)
APC 10x4.7 prop
Gliders owned:

- California Sailplanes P-51 EPP Combat Glider
600 mAh nicad
Berg 4L
HS-225MG (3)
I built this expressly for Parker Mountain, but then moved far away, so I lent it to a friend who will get to use it out there.
Helicopters owned:

- Global Hobby Sabre RTF

- E-Flite Blade CP Pro

Planes built/flown for college aeronautics club/academic projects:

- Wing Warrior Ridge Runner flying wing gliders (2)
Nothing like good-old flying wing slope combat.
- Multiplex Easy Star ARF
Used with trainer cable to train new fliers.
- Multiplex Twin Star II
Himax HC2812-1080 (2)
Multiplex MULTIcont BL-17 ESC (2)
ElectriFly 3s 3200mAh 11.1v lipo
Berg 7P
APC 9x6 prop (2)
I flew the Twin Star with a meteorological sensor package for UAVs developed for my undergraduate engineering capstone project. The best part was that our ground station showed a plot of our 3D position from GPS data. It was a lot of fun to review flights and see my max altitude!
Serious radios owned:

- Futaba 7CAP

That's it!
