Please be careful out there guys. Looks a bit risky having a composite plane at speed coming at you with no boulders or whatever to hide behind...

Great weekend at Bills Hill. Not enough wind to breakout the radar gun yet, but enough wind to fly most of our planes. Wind still a bit inconsistent, but getting better than what we have been dealing with this winter. I think spring might turn into a good season. We will have to see since we did not start flying there until last summer.

Yesterday flew with Mark, Nick, Ray, and three new guys that I don't remember there names but great bunch of pilots.
Today we had a big turnout with Greg and Jen, James #1, James #2, Marty, Ray, and the other Greg. We had some really fun furball action during the glass off. 6 planes going all different directions around the backside.

Thanks guys for a great time.
Chris

Hey David, it was better today. Great wind from 12-2:30, total shut down for about an hour, then picked back up for about an hour of really good glass off conditions (stronger than yesterday). It still had some south shift in it when it started shuting down, but really fun (other than the wierd hour when the wind stopped).

Really enjoyed flying with your guys yesterday as well. Sorry I forgot to mention you guys earlier, just forgot your names. Hope you can join us in the future. The spring is starting to look promising.

I stopped at Bill's Hill today on my way home from L.A. It was on! 12-15 kts straight up the hill. I am not an accomplished DSer yet but I had my fill of fear with the Spider 60. I could have used ballast as I was getting bounced around pretty good. What a rush. I am looking forward to having the confidence to dive in deep.

David in case you haven't tried it, put the CG just a bit further forward on the Spider especially if it's a bit rough. When a plane's trimmed perfectly for frontside it's sometimes too flippy over the back. Certainly with my Nemesis and even the Wizard Compact they've been a handful and when I took some advice and put a bit of lead in the nose they were much more stable and easier to DS.

David I am stoked you got Bills Hill good. I bet that Spider was smokin. The wind at the coast has been rocking and I figured BH was working. Looks like BH might be coming on with the Spring season.

I am helping my sister move on Saturday, so I'm not going to get some until Sunday. Hopefully, it will stay good. Nick is going to try and get off early and go up there tomorrow. Should be good.

You guys get some for me and let us know how it is.

Thanks Avb,
Good call! I do have the CG way back, I will throw some in the nose before I try again.
