Installing a HH Gyro

How about a link to installing a Heading Hold, or Head Lock, Gyro? I am thinking of putting one on my FP, but would like to learn how it is done before I order one.

I think I had a link to the procedure once, but I can't find it now.

Zoandar, see the first post in this thread for some search tips. If you can't find titled posts in this forum, or posts with your search words in the big HBFP threads, then try asking in the current HBFP thread. Someone there should know for sure.

FYI, I read somewhere that you can just open up the 4-in-1, plug the HH gyro between the rudder signal connectors, plug a servo extension wire between the throttle signal connectors, and turn the 4-1 gain pot all the way down. But that's just what I read. Search and ask around for the real details.

Thanks. I think I read that too. But all my links I had saved are on a notebook that has mysteriously died on me. I am in the process of trying to fix it, so spending a lot of time doing that. I have had to fall way behind here on the forum.

I have a Telebee 6G HH gyro coming. Hopefully they will have instructions in with it. If not, I'll dig until I find it again. What you are saying does sound very familiar.

Well, the gyro is here. But Telebee's instructions assume you are using an application where the tail is servo-controlled. So essentially of very little use in my application.

I have been thread sifting for a couple hours, and surprisingly have found NOTHING regarding how to install this HH gyro on an FP. I KNOW I have asked the question before, and have been directed (perhaps even more than once) to threads that showed how to do it. I think I even saw a video of how to do it. Might have been made by Nuttcaze? But the search engine on here is not even finding ANY of even my own previous posts asking for the info??

I think the search engine on here leaves a lot to be desried. So if anyone would like to spare me HOURS of hunting when they happen to know where the info is, PLEASE point me to it.

Thanks!

One way to do this is to fly 'separates' (sometimes misspelled as 'seperates'):

Updated link to LiPo Battery Guide.

Added links to threads and manual for the new 300-class SJM 180(215). Yes, it wins the award for Most Confusing Model Number ever.

Yes, I'll definitely add the 4g3 when it is generally available. Same story with the Trex 250...when the shops are carrying it, it will go on the list. Until then, we can't be sure of the specs and release dates...they tend to change at the last minute.

Thanks Dave! I've updated the link to their new manual for the 200 v2 SE. Good manual. They cover belt drive, shaft drive, and flybarless head options all in the same document.

Also -- I've added the links and specs for the itty bitty new Walkera 4G3.
