Black Canyon of Gunnison -Steepest and Deepest in the USA

located in Colorado and is home of Peregrine Falcon known to fly 200mph !
thermals are strong in here, I was surprised to soar long even at 10,000ft altitude

to be honest I don't care about the canyon being black or orange just enjoy my plane's bulletproof link, camera control and rough terrain landing ability. There are always bunch of tourists dropping jaws thinking it's impossible. I watch birds and fly were they go, yesterday thermaled 1 hour and spent only 200mHh. Few days ago I flew in narrow canyon in Capitol Reef were no birds were seen and busted my new Nikon L18 in first minutes of flight. Air currents were unpredictable in the place.

You've got it dialed in, bro. Outstanding work.

If you want an unsolicited tip, here goes:

45 minutes south of San Francisco is a place called Half Moon Bay.

Drive there, and ask for directions to Pillar Point. It's a beach with a little harbor.

Walk out to the tip of the land. During the summer the water will be relatively calm, but during the winter the waves approach 60 feet. No exaggeration.

The place has been filmed and photographed countless times, even from full-scale aerial, but never from RC, especially when the waves are big.

Currently it's considered in the top ten most dangerous places in the world to surf. Oddly, it's only killed one professional surfer (unlike Pipeline in Hawaii which has killed scores).

Here's a lifted pic or two from Google Images:

My wife and I just decided to take a vacation in July after seeing these pics a few minutes ago. All I do is work. My dept has been working 12 hr shifts since Nov. I've made tons of money but no fun.
So I'd like to thank you fmkit for giving me the longing to take a trip somewhere to take ap pictures!!
