I set up the land function of the flaperons at 30 percent droop and 15 percent elevator up.
This is how much the flaperons go down with 30%:

Leslie -

Let me know how it flies. I'm thinking of doing this to my brushless version.

I set up the plane with 5 servos.
It weighs in at 18 Oz.
I'm using a Hitec Eclipse radio and control the flap via VR6 knob or use the flt. condition switch and switch it foward and the land sequence kicks in.
I may go Astroflight 010 for maiden.

Is it summer yet?

18 oz!! With five servos? How did you do that? Does that include the landing gear, ESC, motor, battery and receiver? If you go brushless, what motor are you considering? I'm on the second Mustang, and am considering a geared Astro 010. But, from what I have read so far, it is not a great jump in power. Looking into what other options are available without breaking the bank.

I love you man.

What ESC are you using with 5 servos? From the little I know these things don't like too many servos.

Yes ready to fly it weighs 18Oz.

Not one drop of heavy epoxy or probond on my plane. Just foam safe light CA.

I am using a 15amp GWS ESC with brake.
I can use my flaps and 4 blade prop to slow down my Stang to make the slowest land the RC world has seen with a GWS Stang. (Well I hope!)

Can the GWS ESC BEC handle 5 servos? Most of them go stupid with more than 3.

Nice job though. I've never had much luck with flaperons but I'll be interested to hear the report.

ESC Used?

Which model number is the ESC?

Have you throughly tested the electronics to make sure you have no problems or glitches?

BTW: Are you using retracts?

I ask only because I ran into problems myself with the GWS P-51 and ESC.
