Fairing compounds?

Anyone ever try something like the attached for finishing their glass-over-wood hulls?
Saw this ad for "Quick Fair" from http://www.systemthree.com/p_st_quikfair.asp ... 2 part fairing compound loaded with microballoons, for filling over your glass cloth... list price $28 for a 1.5 pint kit.

That is a pretty quick cure time. I'd have to mix it really hot and take some chances to be able to work with it that fast!

Looks interesting, the quick working time can possibly make a weekend more productive... I'm a West/410 microlight fan myself...

I generally use good old Bondo for fairing in stuff myself, but that looks like an interesting product.

You can also buy something similar called "Icing" at auto body supply shops, for a lot cheaper. Basically, they're all two-part fillers with a finer texture for finish work.

And if you want a quick cure, put in more hardener---.
