I've got one of those....except I bought it when it was $120 or so.

I think these power supplies detect an open circuit condition and will not start up if there is no load. For example, I had a problem with this power supply and my ORBIT Microlader Pro because the Orbit needs to be "turned on" before it will work, and the power supply needs to be "turned on" before it will generate power...so you wind up with a catch-22 situation.

1. Turn on power supply first, but there is no load so it shuts down

or

1. Turn on ORBIT Microlader pro first, but the power supply isn't on, so nothing happens.

I would recommend buying a cheap lamp for a car that runs on 12 volts and putting it on the power supply as a load resistor so the power supply will be happy.

Mine works perfect with the Orbit Pro. No problem.

It's so small and light. I am able to neatly stack the Orbit on top of the new PS. The vents are on the side and fan is on the back with a solid top.

Thanks Fred in advance for not moving this thread until later today!

The only reason I know about this is because of my charger research. Otherwise the deal would have gone by (good for only 1/16-1/20). Not everyone hangs out in all the forums (wish I had the time).

This hobby is expensive enough, so it's about time to get a price break on something!

My closest RS didn't have one but his computer located another store with 2. Called them - they have 2 (WOW! computer was right! That's a first.).
"What's an in-store coupon?" said the manager.
Referred him to the RS web site.
Will go by latter today.

Dodged the lunch bunch and scored my PS!
If in San ANtoni, TX, the store just inside Loop 410 on San Pedro has 1 left.
Thanks for the heads up,

My new RS 25A power supply and Orbit V6 Microlader.
I use APP to connect my Orbit to various power supply (behind PS, the cig lighter plug is for the fan cooler). The APP connected to the pack in the coller is polarized different from the charger input power so I can't accidentally plug the wrong thing in.

I had no problem running the PS and turning on the Orbit.

This mod'ed computer PS (8A) would not run with the Orbit due to start up surge. But the RS PS works fine. The Smart Charger is in a case with fans, adapters, etc - charger on the GO! Need to figure one out for the Orbit.

The red/black connector on the white wire above the red box area is the APP connector for the Orbit. Cig outlets for older/other gear. Inverter for A/C and big bolts for jump-starting cars. The black wire near the red area is the connector for the lead-acid charge maintainer (batt is always plugged in, always ready to go). The big charger is for use after a long day at the field. For easy transport the battery lifts off (HEAVY, 125Ah) the cart.

P.S. Did I mention it's good for jump starting cars when the owner has run his battery down charging e-packs?
