I just tried an MKS DS760 and instantly fell in love.

FWIW I've been running two BLS251's @ 6V for about 18 months with no issues

I haven't tried any BL servos. I have this personal notion that BL servos draw too much power (I may be wrong) and that comparable performance can be achieved with the less Amp-hungry brushed coreless motors.

Also, the specs for the MKS 760 are better than BLS251, and the former can work at 6V.

As mahbouni mentioned many of us have been using the BLS251s at 6v for a long time. No issues...

Brushed or brushless both can be efficient (or not) - depends on the servo and manufacturer. I have some Savox coreless that are power hogs - need 10A BEC to prevent LV brownouts. The BLS are generally pretty efficient.

Like Pete has said brushless can be very efficient. I have BLS 255's on my 6HV and holding it up by the blade grip arms and slapping the collective up and down as fast as I can, I was drawing less than 4a.

Thanks guys, I'll probably go toward BLS. I'll run it at 5,5V along with my Hitec 5254MG cyclic servos. With the MKS, I would have gone up to 6V

Anyway as mentionned above, I can not go wrong with one or the other.

Any more comments?, I'll do the order tomorrow.

How is the 6080G? That's a newer servo, I haven't seen many users. What gyro and how's the tail in fast backward flight? What about piro stops?

Not sure but I have heard the Spektrum servos are rebranded Savox. Specs match the SH-1290MG

I've got the 6080G/BeastX and couldn't be happier. holds very solid on backwards flight, and stops dead on in piros. I even crashed it once and it still works perfect.

How's it going, gents? Kinda quiet on the Protos forum... I guess all Protii are running smoothly and putting big grins on their respective owners' faces? Mine certainly is

Can't complain! My (Mini) Protos is my "go to" helicopter. Flew it for a year stock, stretched it this year to 350s and a 6S power system (thanks Pete!). It's a whole new level of awesomeness.

Normally I'd make some snarky comment like 'well nobody listens if you were to complain' but we all know that isn't true, most of do listen, every show in fact...
