F-16 Profile Pusher (with Plans)

Here are plans for a tail-mounted profile F-16 Fighting Falcon pusher.

It can be flown with tailerons only, but I've also made markings for ailerons.

It consists of very few parts and will build together in no time.

The dimensions of the slots and tabs are made for 6 mm depron.

Data

Wing span: 72 cm (28 inches) without wingtips
Length: 118 cm (47 inches)
CoG location: 7.0 cm (2.75 inches) behind wing break

Plans
Plans in PDF, Google Sketchup and AutoCad formats can be downloaded from here: http://rc.tomhe.net/f-16

fininally a F-16! I've been waiting for a long time!! Thankyou Tomhe. I'm flying the F-22, which flys awesome, and currently building the SU-37. This may be the next one.

Well it's got paint, not what I originally wanted, but it will have to do for now,,should have it ready for flight the first part of next week. The cg showed during glide tests to be at 2 1/2" --to 3" from the wing break, at least that's where I will start for flying...

Frank/marchino,

Looking good so far! Keep us posted.

Tomas, I was going to skip this one as I'm not too fond of tail-mounted pushers. But since it is such a simple plan, I'm going to give it a go. Although on the first one I will probably double up the fuse to 12mm (will just laminate two 6mm sheets together) so that I will have more strength for mounting the servos and motor. That will probably be the only mod. Or maybe I'll do it stock, just to see how it comes out. We'll see.

Looking at the printed plans, it seems that there is room for a mid-mounted motor on this for no bigger than a 6" prop. I will probably do a second one and tinker with it to see what I can come up with. And I will probably build out the bottom of the fuse from the intake back like marchino is doing on his.

Looks great Frank! That color will really stand out.

Can you get a close-up pic of the motor mount? And also, what's that under the left wing? Is that an under wing fuel tank? Or maybe the nose of another project?

Here are the pic's, they are wing tanks , but not sure about using them... motor mount is 3/32" ply hot glued to foam. been using this method for a long time with no problems.. with this color maybe invasion stripes ??????

Holy , this thing is HUGE!!! It's so big I actually had to split up the fuse pieces in order to cut them out. I took a few pics to show the size comparison between it and all of Tomas' other models. All of these are 100% size. The F-16 is a good 6" longer than most of the others.

The fuse seems a little weak being only 6mm, so I will cut out another section, sandwich some CF strips in between for strength, and make it 12mm thick.

Pretty soon I will have Tomas' entire fleet airworthy! (Su-37 only needs decals and electronics, my second F-22 is in the process of being built, and the Mig-29 needs a little TLC and an aileron conversion)
