can you tell me what gauge to get for the t28? i see they have multiple sizes. thanks, walt. 44 inch wingspan plane of coarse..

If you are asking about the strut covers, you need the #106 for the T-28

rgwislon - thanks for that tip. Those covers look very detailed and easy to install (I checked the instructions on the Robarts page). I am getting tired of the wires dangling down, but did not want to do the full retracts. This might just be the solution.

Hi there

To be honest it's hard to go past the stock prop. It really does work great with the stock motor. I have a 10x7 APCE which seems to need a longer taxi and the tri-blade MA 10x7 which I prefer the looks of but the overall performance of stock is hard to beat. As I mentioned earlier my T28 seems to tip too easily on taxiing with the 3 blade which I don't really understand, any ideas why folks? I run 2.5" Dubro wheels (stock is just under 2") on a grass runway so this tendency shouldn't be that pronounced.

Which Prop?


I like the the Master Airscrew (MAS) 10 X 7 X 3 for the power and verticals. It is a touch slower in speed but I like to have the power for aerobatics. The all around winner has to be the stock prop though for a balance of speed and power. I just prefer the looks and power of MAS three blade.

Apc 10x10e. You will be amaze feels very powerfull and easy on amps.

Pz corsair 3 blade 9x7.5x3 faster than stock and better climb. (best looking one).

Just start reading back in the thread this has being asked lot of time. Every time i recomend the 10x10e. End up in a winner

hi
have just bought a used t28 its the pnp version. im waiting for a spektrum dx6i and some lipos.
but before i make my first flight with it i want to know how much throw i shall have on the rudders?
i want it to be easy to fly cous im a newbie

How much of a newbie? New to T-28? New to flying RC?

Rudders won't matter that much...I have mine on middle hole with 100% throw...you will want enough throw to steer your nose wheel effectively because rudder channel works nose wheel too. I would say to put it at 50%.
Put aileron throw at about 50% if you are new to 4 channel planes.
Put elevator throw at about 50% too.

If you are new to flying this plane will seem like it comes in to land pretty fast, just remember to flare just a little just before it touches down.

If you are totally new to flying, be sure to get an instructor to give you some pointers and maybe even check your plane out first to get it all trimmed out first. If you don't know someone, check with your local hobby shop for a referral.
