Thanks for the video Kosh..... I knew there was one somewhere....

The picture should help make things even clearer... But I won't recommend the the CG measurement as being a good start point....

Been awhile since I've had time to build 'anything' at all...

This looks like fun though. I'll have to locate some extra lightweight foam in the shed.

Will stay away from EPP for the vertical though... The last EPP vertical on a fast plane wound up twisting and producing a weird corkscrew effect (EPP Skyray)

Here's the same design, a free plan for Depron from RCM&E a few months back, only with an undercambered reflexed airfoil. Supposed to solve any pitch problem. Problem is bending EPP to an airfoil shape, it has to be hot wire cut.

So, I think I'll try kosh's flattie orginal in a 20" span for a 1500kv Blu Wonder and give that a try.

Hi Dekan

Couldn't help myself, made one of these last night. Flew it this morning and went back for more this afternoon. So nice to fly.

Mine is full EPP, BW 1700kv, 1000mah 3's, 7x5 prop.

So quick and easy to build it had me worried, but congratulations sweettttttt plane.

Building another one tonight with a different shaped fuse centre fin just for looks.

The DD is sweetttttttttttttt

Thanks Dekan, Box.

Dekan I couldn't get it to fly with the cg at 6", it just hovered and went straight up like a rocket and when I powered up it would blow out and spin. I nearly gave up and then remembered what Box said and rebalanced with the cg at 5". At cg 5" it leaves my hand nearly. The black mark is the 6" cg I just moved things around at the 5" cg and rebalanced.

Any help with a fin design would be great, something weird. I didn't paint the bottom of the fuse on purpose, it makes it look more spacey?

Flying the DD again tomorrow can't help myself. The BW 3000kv with a 4.5 x 4.1 is a rocket on my Mini Bee will let you know how it goes on the DD.

Dekan this one goes with me everywhere. All EPP same running gear but with 1500mah 3's battery. Battery weighs 143g the 1000mah 3's weighs 83g. Will try the bigger battery on the DD tomorrow.
