My GWS P-40 hit a light pole dead on the nose, right on the light cover. This was over 30' up. The plane dropped straight down and hit the pavement nose first. All it did was break off the top part of the fuse between the battery tray and cowling (the cowling and spinner were trashed, of course). Very rugged bird.

I once took off my AT-6 while on the wrong model (of course the wrong model was a wing, not a conventional setup) and plowed into the dirt. Only broke the wingtips off and broke the fuse in half just adead of the tail group. Glued right back together.

I've also had my Corsair in several pieces before and glued that back together several times.

EPS is tough if you ask me. It's only donwside is the suceptibility to hanger rash.

Make them in both types, give us a choice.

Would be cool if F4 had twin EDF 75 fans
Twice the power of Mig 17 as it was in real life. Sure it would have to be a bit larger but that how it was.. big fast and mean.

I think in order to keep it more in the park flyer size, it'd need to be two EDF64s like the F-15.

I have F15 with twin 64 and not so happy. Need 2 battery to make it work and hard to find good performing outrunners for 4 cell in that size. Much easier to find for 75mm. Maybe GWS can make 70mm Fan like on this plane and put 2

So, when will the F4 be ready for purchase? Will Caliber Hobby be carrying this product?

I would have to say at this point it will be Christmas or later. And I can almost guarantee Caliber will carry it, along with the usual places like Epyaya and ALLeRC.

Exactly why do you think you need outrunners??? Try some Arc 1.5 turn inrunners. Or even better....try the Hobby City 64mm rotor, in the stock fan housing with the Arc 1.5 turn. I can assure you, it will run VERY well on 4S.

I think the F-4 will be a single 75mm EDF. With good ducting, it will perform well - not blistering fast but fine for a intermediate/advanced pilot.

Mr Lin - I'd really like to see this one move up in the priority list. It is a unique model, and has a very strong (and vocal) following. It will fly alongside my other GWS jets, the F-15 and A-4, all were well make kits. I'm starting now on a BL powered A-10. WOW - looking at how far the kits have come since the A-10 was released is impressive. That's it! No more "paralysis through analysis!" Move the F-4 and Mig 15/17 out from prototype to production!

Jim,

If you jet jockeys get yet another EDF before we poor product-starved prop guys see the Beaver there's going to be a riot and it'll be me at the front

Point well taken! We "jet jockys" need more "targets".

Seriously, a new, larger Beaver would be a welcome addition to my growing stable.

Remember the frontline, firstwave, soldiers at Normandy were the first to get hit

but lets face it
4 or 5 years ago GWS did 5 or 6 new planes in as many months (warbirds series runs with some flat profiles, disk planes), and then 2 yrs ago we got the larger sized warbirds and a 262 pretty quickly...it seems thats just the way it goes months of "coming soon" then Bamm!!! 4 to 6 new models almost overnight

so I'll wait patiently

Chuck your right. The A-4 and J-10 came in the same fashion. This and the 17 are already on my list of to gets. Matter of fact are at the top of it. Would look great next to my A-4 on the flightline. I have just about every aspect of thier equipment picked out and waiting for them to be ordered.
