My new Micro Citabria from SEFF!

Thought I would start a thread to discuss my new ParkZone Micro Citabria RTF. This little guy is a dream to fly!

I scored this in the raffle at SEFF, right after Dad scored one.... and right before Andy scored one. Yeah, that's right, we each got one. 3 Citabrias drove home to Alabama with us!!!

Some pictures that I snapped with my left hand while I floated by controlling it with my right. Talk about multi-tasking!?!?

Yeah, the downthrust makes it look like it has a bent prop shaft. But it flies perfectly like that.

Fly long and land softly

A while back I got to fly the earlier brother to this plane right after flying my Diddlerod. It flew amazingly well, much crisper and better than the Diddlerod, IMHO.

The only problem I have with a really tiny plane like this is finding the right calm conditions to fly it. I live in too windy a world!

Hope you guys get to enjoy yours a lot.

Thanks Jim. I believe I flew mine 3 evenings in a row. Sometimes when the sun starts to drop, so does the wind.

They are some fun planes to fly. Very responsive, plenty of power, float around real slow.

I looove mine! Some advice - lube it!! I've read where the gearbox will freeze up sometimes right out of the box if you don't lube it good. Also, it's REALLY easy to bend the prop shaft and really hard to swap it out.

Sweet...another happy Citabria owner lurks among us!

Lube it. Great advice... that I did not heed. Until my 3rd flight and the gearbox seized. I opened up the fuse like the instructions said, added the oil drips, closed it back up, and it flew like a champ!

My prop shaft has a little wiggle to it. There's a light pole at the side of my yard that tends to get in the way every now and then.

Dad said that same thing! If you saw what fun we were having, you'd be heading to the hobby shop immediately.
