If I could do it all over again, I would probably only strengthen the rear fuse. I enjoyed the way it flew before and I think I've been putting off the test flight in the fear that it'll now be some kind of hot rod.

Here we go. Finally. Latest and greatest from this afternoon. I moved the CG forward a smidgen, and it really seemed to help. Now it's all just me goofing off. yes, even the stalls are deliberate, just.... because. There wasn't any good lift, and a bit too much wind, so I just had some fun. The funky whining hum is the rubber band that's holding on the camera vibrating.

Radian goofing off over Baylands park (15 min 3 sec)

I say whack about a foot off of each wing on the Radian and put a real motor in it. Maybe go to 8 cells too.

Yeeeaaah, that'd have it doing knife edge low passes, just as nature intended.

I went a 3 cell 2200mA pack, no good for anything but flat out hedge trimming. Or the neighbors irrepressible big loud dog!

With this thing, big preoplellor on the front, I can change my life! yeah!!

No worries.

Steve, I am frequently guilty of pinching, both in the air and on the water.

Wait, wait, isn't this the woody thread????

Never mind, I've got a flying beer cooler too, and yeah, it does get more air time than the woodies.

Fun though, we've got about 4 of these out regularly. We do a 30 second countdown, launch with CAM units set at 100m, fly for 5', then land on a spot. It's landing on the spot that kills me. Sometimes you need to tie a string on it to get it down, and then when you do it's going too fast and bounces into the next county

Holy crap David! You even put your email address on your gliders? I put Hoss's name and address on mine in case it goes through a car windshield or kills someone's poodle.

Better yet, I'll send you Jeff's. He'll be the hardest to track down.

Even better, let's go with Steve's. That way Interpol will have to get involved and that'll muddy up the investigation.

Edit: BTW David, the foamie resurrection looks great.

I like what you did to the fuse and V stab.

What's wrong with putting on an e-mails address? I did on mine. it's all e-mail around here.
