Wow... that resembles me at the moment - sitting at my PC in a towel and assembling an ARF T33 ducted fan model

Stinker-

It sounds as if you have a weeks worth of delicacies all lined up...yummy. Dang, I forgot to bring breakfast to work and now you've turned me into one of Pavlov's dogs.

My eyes.......

Just kidding. I'll admit to a little relaxed building every now and then. LOCK UP the CA when you do, though.

Sorry, Don. I'll make sure to keep you hungry with frequent updates. For example: tonight I'll start the meats marinating in a blackened rubthat I got from Traeger. I also got some apricot BBQ sauce that I want to try.

Hey, where's that  smiley?

Another day, another bale of hay.
Worst thing about the graveyard shift is there is nobody working in the kitchen, dayshift staff get the grub laid on for them and I missed out on bacon, eggs and beans on toast today.

But, I get to browse online a fair bit between rounds of the wards, and hatch my plans.

Hey Jeff, how far out in the sticks is Bisbee??

I love to cook too, Stinker. Grilling is my fav and do a lot of cedar plank stuff. I do ice cream as well and was the State Fair of Texas champion in '07 by pulling first place and best-of-show.

Nudie business in the shop can't be bad. Didn't Hoss like to thermal in the nude? It never hurt him did it? They never locked him up did they. But then, we haven't heard from Hoss for a while so perhaps they did.

LOL, I think you're right, Steve. If I'm not mistaken, under his avatar, didn't it say "Thermal Naked"? Yup, prolly in the stoney lonesome by now .

Real Question

Back to R/C stuff (God forbid). What's the best way to verify the integrity of servos after they've been through a crash?

Hi Don, the most certain way is to put them in another model and go fly them again, if they are ever going to fail from damage it will be then, so then you will know.

Seriously though mate, a servo tester can tell you plenty, I had a good one a few years ago that I sold just before my trip and it was a most useful thing. Can't remember much about it now so if we ask Sean he might be able to elucidate on the merits of servo tester types, I recall he liked his too.

Or, observe the servo throw actions under pushrod loads on your hand you can often feel slippy teeth or twitchy electronic gremlins in the gear train, if that is a worry.

Thank, Mr. Mac, I really had no idea there existed a tester for servos. I really don't want any more gadgetry if not absolutely needed. I'll do as you suggest and just observe their function under load.

Did you read about FrogTard getting perm banned? I can't believe the mods would kick someone out for voicing their opinion in the off topic politics forum, that's what it's for. Froggy's a good builder and pilot...what a shame....

Nope, didn't know the Frogstar had got the boot, far out!

I am guilty of rarely browsing outside of the sailplane sections.

Maybe the ban is only temporary, it happens often, has even happened to me once. But not on rcg mind you.
You sure it's permanent?

Me too. You start getting into religion and politics and people are going to get mad and say things they shouldn't...

Ya, just found out about FrogChief yesterday. Sad. Yet, he may live again on at least another board.

I mostly stay out of the religion and politics. Mostly because mine are not like most here on RCG, and the only masochism I tolerate is from my wife and Uncle Sam's wife (Aunt IRiS)
