I’m thinking of doing some research on this and see what companies are involved. Maybe one of them is hiring. I wouldn’t mind having a job where I’m building, testing, fixing, and dear I say it… fly them.
So if anyone knows anyone who knows anyone that is in the UAV field and may have some input, please pass on the info to me.

Con: “This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and/or customer approval.” Not a fulltime job; contract. Pro: But I do meet the requirements. Thanks Jeremy!!

The pay is not that good, and they expect you to live within the Sierra vista Area.

Typically on a contract position the pay is decent, plus over time. Really good if you get to go to the sandbox as an FSR.
But yes, although Sierra Vista has grown some, I don’t see myself living there unless the pay is really good or have my own plane, even an ultralight that I can commute with.

I had been contacted by a recruiter, I forget what they were offering, but it was not even worth considering, especially if you had to live out there.

Sierra vista is a decent area. I lived there 2 years and was just there a month ago. Also FT Huachuca is a nice Post.

Lots of military retirees.

Really, that’s interesting. For the most part I have had pretty good offers on gov. contract work in the past. Maybe it because of the budget crices??

As far as contacts in the UAV field go, Clay Sherrow in Tucson is big into UAV, or at least he was. Not 100% sure. He's racer1 on here.
