Please consider, can this apply for micro brusshless motor?

It's easily found in cooling fan of PC equipment.

I may be wrong but I can see it being used in a 2-coil setup where it could alternately switch the current from one coil to the other and thus double the power stroke per shaft revolution using the present 2 phase 180 degree magnet that we are now using.

Thank you for replying. Today, I test it by using original board form PC's cooling fan. It comprised with that IC, 1 capacitor and 1 diode.
The original board use 12 V power but I test with Lipo 1 cell. The coil and magnet, I used, from 6 mm pager motor. The result is it only huanting, maybe cuased by the 2 coils from pager motor is 120 degree or by the value of capacitor not matched, I'll check the data sheet.
