I need to select a motor for it (converting to electric), i was thinking of the E-FLITE 110. How do you like it with this model? Does it handle 8S?

Also would like some suggestions for the ESC... Thanks!
I also, have an E-Flite 110 on 8S and use a Castle Creations 80Amp HighVoltage ESC. I use a 1100Mah NiCad for the receiver and servos.

I never used retracts before, do not know exactly what parts to buy. Would really appreciate a help here... i assume these do not come with the wheels, what's your advice for wheels too?

Many thanks.

Hi,

Just got my new Epic LT 120 and i'm thrilled with it!!!

But now i need help on two items:

- motor - should i buy e-flite power 110 or power 160? price is not an issue, and if 160 is ok for this model, i can later use it for heavier stuff also;

- robart retracts - i never used retracts before, can anyone point me on which parts exactly i need to buy to install retracts on the Epic LT?

Thanks in advance!

I understand this thread is over 2.5 years old. But can anyone share with me the details of thier retract setup, I'm planning to install a 20cc DLe engine on it with a retract system.

I would use E-Flight retracts. The Epic is a 12lb plane. The one I built I used a Rimfire motor Great Planes Rimfire 1.20 50-65-450 Outrunner Brushless.. Or the E-flite 110 would be prefect- IMHO

Mine, did not. Bought about 3 years ago from NitroPlanes. I know that there were two different manufacturers producing that plane.
