Great pics! I take it these were taken from the new bridge though (and not through AP means). I just drove over the Hoover dam a few weeks ago on my way back to Phoenix from Las Vegas. Here are some of the shots of the new bridge that I was able to get from the car.

@ Dave and Dave (DWA /aviatordave):
You must be nuts to fly over the dam, not only it's crowded with tourists, policemen and helis you also need to have disposable plane to land on boulders(in the morning I landed on the hood of my car). Also the dam is too big to frame so you have to fly very high using downlink. There is nice place to fly RC: stop at nearby hotel/casino Hacienda, hike around the hotel toward lake to find perfect landing strip and incredible views. Watch free movie inside the casino, the old B/W documentary about building Hoover Dam worth to see. From here you can fly heli tour starting from $29 if you have 3 passengers or $35ea for two. |

I was thinking he wasn't nuts but had some big stones. I would be too afraid of the police to pull a stunt like that.
However, the power lines would not stop me even though I have proven, just two weeks ago, I can hit them just fine (on my maiden flight no doubt with my new plane). Nice photo's, can you get some low fly by's over the traffic? ![]() |
