Re: [RCSE] 1/144 scale warship combat

Detailing isn't inherently more or less accurate in one scale than
another. In a larger scale, more stuff can show up to BE detailed.
It's all up to the builder, how detailed they want it to be.
Remember, though, that any details that you put on are going to get
shot off - think about how much stuff you're going to want to have to

Fewer guns in 1:72 than in 1:144 sounds counterintuitive. I'd think
that it would be possible to arm even more guns in a larger-scale
ship. As with detailing, I suppose it's a matter of how much you want
to do.

A battleship that's 6' long in 1:144 scale would be 12' long in 1:72
scale. Think about trying to haul that around, launch it, & recover
it (especially from the bottom, when it's full of water). Of course,
smaller ships like destroyers are much more viable in 1:72 scale than
in 1:144.

Probably the most important factor, though, is who are you going to
battle with? If there are plenty of 1:72 scale warship battlers near
you, then your odds of finding a battle are better than if there
aren't any. Likewise, if there are some 1:144 scale battlers nearby,
then maybe that would be a better scale. If all you want to do is
build a ship to sail around, then pick any scale that you want. But
if it's a battle you want, you would be well advised to check out
which scale is in actual use conveniently close to you.

The URL below gives me a 404 error.
