New Jeti Brushless motor in Zagi?

How would the Jeti Brushless motors work in the Zagi. the 15-3 or 15-4?
Would it work as good as an astro 020?
Would it take the Zagi verticle and give it a lot more speed?

I should know before long. I already have a 15-4, and I had my LHS order an FMA Razor Speed 600 airframe for me. I'm wondering if sub c battery packs will be too heavy... I only have 1 pack of 800 AR's.

It would probably work, but the size pack that you would need would be very heavy and that would off set a lot of your gains.

I have put in an Aveox 1005/4Y on my zagi with a graupner 6x3 folding prop and with the Zagi 1700mah pack, and it just screams.
About the battery pack, maybe you can just use the Zagi 1700mah pack with the Jeti motor.

Would the Jeti 15-4 brushless fit in the Zagi motor tray?
I have a Firecat ordered with a Jeti Brushless 15-4 motor. It will be my first brushless.
Do you need a special brushless speed control for it or can you use anyone. Like a Castle Creations 35 amp speed control?

You have to have a brushless controller. Just get the Jeti one and it wont kill your bank.

Ryan,

The 15-4 won't fit in the Zagi tray, that's one of the reasons I am getting the Speed 600 Razor airframe.

What about if you cut it out for it a little. Thats what I had to do for the Turbo 450.
Are the 15-3 and 15-4 the same size?

Will the Razor 600 motor tray fit on the Zagi? I need a new motor tray anyways. The 15/4 fits in it, right? New creations sells the motor trays for it.
Does the Razor 600 motor tray like the Zagi X. Do you put your battey at the same spot?

Ryan,

You may be able to cut the tray a little and get the 15-4 to fit. A Razor tray and a Zagi tray are different. In the Razor the battery goes through a hatch in the tray, down into the foam fuselage. You may however be able to rig something using the Razor tray. I think it would fit on the Zagi.

I took my speed 400 Razor and started weighing the different components that will be going into the Jeti powered Razor... and... I REALLY like what I saw!!!! It looks like the AUW is going to be 27-28 ounces. According to some info I saw on the Jeti 15-4, it has 33 ounces of thrust! This could be fun!!! Anybody know how this compares to a Turbo Zagi? (Geez... I'm starting to feel like Tim on Home Improvement.)

I'm ordering to new Creations tomorrow. I need a motor tray for my Zagi and also ordering the HL Firecat combo which comes with the Jeti 15/4 brushless. When i'm putting my firecat together, i'm going to try the 15/4 in it.
I have a 450 turbo in my Zagi know. How much oz of thrust do you get with the 450 turbo on 8x800ar?
Is the motor the same size as the 450 turbo?

The 15/3 and 15/4 are physically the same size, yes. Just one has one more turn on the widings than the other.

Randy, Any updates on the Jeti powered Razor? I am curious about the results as I was thinking of getting one for my Zagi.
