iCharger 306B?

I have this charge and a AnyLink and battery to use with my DX8. Can someone tell me if I can charge the AnyLink LiFe battery and exactly how to set up the charger to do this. The max voltage is not supposed to exceed 6.6volts. I can't see in the iCharger manual how to set this and I haven't really seen LiFe but I assume it is the same 1st menu item as LiPo. Correct?

Thanks

I have the 106b+ and it has a setting for lithium Ion, that is 3.3 volts a cell and should work fine. do you have that setting on yours?

I’d like to recommend you a series of produced Chargers iCharger 3010B, 206B, 208B, 1010B+ and 106B+, they are Synchronous Balance charger/discharger with a wide input voltage range for NIMH/NICD, Lilo/LiPo/LiFe (built-in Lithium battery balancing function) and Lead Acid (Pb) battery packs.
LiFe would be the correct setting. Nonimal voltage of 3.3 per cel and they charge to 3.6-.3.65 per cell.

Now I got a 206B on my way Looking forward to a small accurate charger to have on the field. My hyperion duo charger is to big to have in my flightbag, but will do the job at home

Hi.

I am getting the connection breakdown error on my 1010B+ due to a friend that accidentally plugged my charger to a 24V source instead of 12V source in Flying Field.

The charger detect lipos when i plug in it, measure IR pack and discharge functions are OK, but charge lipos is impossible.

I checked components D16 & Q26 and both seems to be ok.
I tried to upgrade again 3.14 firmware, but the problem persist.

Perhaps other components can be damaged? I dont see anything burned, but i am not a electronic expert.

Any idea??

Thanks you!

I would suggest make the "friend" buy you a new charger. Anyone that does that and leaves you hanging isn't much of a "friend" though in my book.

SOP should be to contact the vendor where you purchased the charger and seek a return for repair authorization. If purchased from Progressive RC or EPBuddy then most often they are extremely good at taking care of their customers. If purchased from HK then I wish you luck.

If you are a DIY pearson then disassemble the charger and take very high quality hi resolution photos of the inside and post them and perhaps someone can spot the problem. You should perhaps also email or PM Junsi directly.

It is always a good idea to read the FAQ file in the first post of this thread.

Using 3S lipo as power supply for 306B?

Can I safely plug a fully charged 3S lipo into its paraboard, then hook up the paraboard to the power supply side of the 306B -- making the 3S lipo the power source?

Using 2 x 2.2mah 3S lipos plugged into the paraboard, would I then get 11.1V input with 4.4mah capacity?

Supposing this would work, what would be the charging capability of the 2 x 2.2mah lipos? Will the charging side lipos discharge down to 3.3V per cell? Or will they stop discharging when the recipient lipos contain the same amount of energy as the power supply lipos?

Please excuse any terminological blunders.

Thanks!

Of course it will work. You will have ~44Wh of available charging capacity, assuming ~90% efficiency for your 306B. Depending on where you have minimum input voltage set on your 306B, you could easily overdischarge and damage your two 3S lipolys if you're not observant of what you're doing.

What exactly is it that you're wishing to accomplish? Having a detailed understanding of your end goal will be helpful in providing the best recommendation that will give you the highest probability of success.

Thanks for the observation about minimum input voltage: I'll be sure to get that right.

What I want to do is to recharge a set of 3 x 850mah 3S lipos via the 306B and 2 x 2200mah 3S lipos as source, so that I can achieve extended flying sessions on occasions when using a car battery isn't an option.

Thanks!
