Great.

One thing I don't like is it is heavy.
I have 2 server PS, all my wire adapters, 2 chargers, a parallel board, a volt meter and I carry my 3 - 6S 2700mAh Lipos in it.

It weighs 27LB.

Mine is only a little over 17 lbs., with most of the same stuff except that I've only got the 306B charger, and I'm not transporting Lipo's in it. The voltmeter is in the my flight box. To quote akschu, the guy who designed the conversion kit for the PS, "The power supplies have 4 terminals, two for each power supply. You can use a jumper between the two middle terminals to put the power supplies in series and use the outer two for 24v (47amps) or you can jumper both the red and blacks to each other and put the power supplies in parallel mode where you have 12v (94amps)." Works great for me...

The rest is the usual paraphernalia that accompanies chargers; like conversion pigtails, harnesses, charging bag, etc. It all fits nicely in the Harbor Freight case.

Kind regards,

Stan

Looks really good Stan.

Sure makes it convenient doesn't it.

Have you seen any snow yet in the Tehachapis?

I have a iCharger 206B used for one year, recently find balance port voltage measurment is not correct, one cell (cell 5) is always 0.03V higher than othels, I have 6 5S Packs, every pack is the same situation .
How to calibrate the balance port monitor voltage?

Calibration procedure is listed on the first page of this thread

That last part is the CV mode (constant Voltage).
The balancing takes place here.
How long is forever?
It could take 1/4 of the charging time, depending how bad your batteries are out of balance.

Sure does. And I love being able to top off all my larger batteries in pretty short order. I've had no problems at all with this charger. It's great!

Snow, yes, but so far only above my house (just barely). I don't mind the cold, but this wind is really wreaking havok with the flying both at home and at work. We have friendly competitions once a week and we've had to cancel way too many of late...

Sure you can.

How fast do you want to charge it?

Your charger is 20AMPS max.

4 x 5.3 = 21.2 = 1C

You will be charging at less than 1C but it will do it.

Thanks, just making sure. Love this charger.

Hi guys, i built a hot wire and i use "FOAM CUT" icharger 106b+ function.

It's really useful but, if i set up 10A when the process start the amperes that i read are only 2A.

Why ??

My iCharger 106b is working fine, but only charging to 98% (12.55).

Is that normal? What settings can I change to charge to 100%?

Thanks!

Yes, this is both normal and expected. Post charge resting voltage of a lipoly is dependent on several factors - cell internal resistance, charge rate, pack temperature, charger setup parameters, etc... IMO, any charger that charges to 4.20 volts per cell resting is overcharging.

iChargers (and others) have the ability to adjust termination voltage either up or down. I typically set mine at ~4.18 volts per cell and charge at 2C rate. Upon termination, my lipolys are ~4.15 volts per cell. If you must have 4.2 volts per cell resting, you can adjust termination voltage to 4.21 or 4.22 volts per cell but understand that this will affect the useful life of your packs and only gain a few extra seconds of flight time.

Setting Balance speed to "Slow" brings you closer, as charge is terminated when current has dropped to 1/40 of initial current. Results in longer charge time though.
