You can set current to 10A max, which is close to 2C (10.8A).
Maybe you should study the last part of a charge to get familiar with how the charger operates. Enter cell voltage display and see what the voltage of each cell is. When a cell reaches 4.20V, current will start to drop to make sure the voltage stops rising. If all cells are the same, current will drop to a fraction of the initial current and the charge ends. If the pack is unbalanced, it will start to discharge high cells (cell voltage flash on display) while it continues to charge low ones at low current. This means that this last phase will take longer to complete.

I purchased it from EP Buddy about a month ago. What is the warranty service like? Will they replace this with out hassle or do I just throw it in the trash and buy something different? This is my only charger and I'm down until I get it replaced. Never should have sold my hyperion.

I wanted to follow up on this post and did not want to leave it hanging. Dale at EP Buddy took care of me. I was able to get a replacement and in time to be able to fly this weekend. I'm glad to see a company stand behind their product and take care of their customers!

Yes. A car battery is a 12V Pb battery. As such, use 12V Pb setting.

Well the original instruction is hardly clear about this whole procedure.

Surely if this was the case, the procedure would have mentioned it - I still havent had a response as to WHY the darn thing is beeping FOUR times, when all thats mentioned is 3.

Hi. I just bought a 306b and am waiting on delivery. Does it need to be calibrated. Score use? I'm using Parallel cables. I still want to use the balance charge setting on the charger , yes ?

Quick question about parallel charging. If I am parallel charging 2 3s 1000 mah batteries can I set the amps to 2.2. Or 3 3s 1000 set the amps to 3.3. Is this correct?

I just Receiced My Icharger i106b Plus from Hobbyking.com

I having problem with that charger.

Today I put a 2200mah battery for balance charge,
after few minutes. i checked on charger its was showing 4.27, 4.25, 4.27
charging was still still not finished, but I stoped charging process becuase I wanted to charger charge my lipo any more..

Why this charger over charged my lipo,

second problem.
when ever I put my batteries for storage voltage, if battery already have voltage of 3.50 to 3.70 or something near this per cell, charger instantly show DONE<

I already received my charger with firmware version 3.14

what to do?

For a 1C charge in parallel you add up the total MAH of the batteries. Two 1000mah batteries = 2 amps.

Just wanted to report that all is well with my new iCharger 106b. About an hour to balance charge 5 3c 1800. Migrating to the 2200mAh 30c, and will be happy charging 4 at a time.

Of course, once one understands the iCharger settings, charging is a breeze!

Thanks to all for your help!

Charging 2 6S 5Ah in parallel at 2C each: charge time = ~25 minutes
Charging 2 6S 5Ah in parallel at 3C each: charge time = ~29 minutes

Balancing starts in CV mode (which seems to take longer when charging at 3C compared to 2C) and balancing mode is set to slow. Both batteries are fairly new, IR ~ 2mOhm/ cell and balance within <10mv

What could cause a 3C charge rate to take longer than a 2C charge rate?
