Yes, you got it.

I do not connect the main leads of all packs for convenience reasons, when I charge slowly over night, with, say 300mA. If it takes 10h, so be it, I'm in no hurry while sleeping.

Hands down the best value, performance and features of any line on the market today!!!

Now, if my replacement unit keeps working (106b+), I'll likely buy another ...

Best bang for the buck, and one of the most flexible chargers on the market today. Guaranteed service and support from the US (when purchased through me). Plus exceptional continued support and product updates from the manufacturer, which in the past have increased power and added numerous user requested features. I've got a feeling big things are in store for '09!

As per your web site, will these be ready to ship on the 31st.......of March.......2009

All other things considered, as long as service and support are there, these, 1010b+ and 106b+ look to be a great deal.
I'd rather have two 106's to do what a dual port charger does cuz if one goes down, I still have a charger, where as if a dual port goes psssssst, I'm down.

thanks

I don't anticipate needing the lager cell count battery capability that the 1010B affords. Therefore the 106B seems the more appropriate one for me. Are there any other reasons I should consider the 1010B that I might be better off with?

Boy, that's a timely question, Don!

Also, are there any "newer" engineering changes in the 106B versus the 1010B?

And, what does 2009 portend that isn't already "here?"

I've updated the firmware of my iCharger 1010B+ to 3.09 and when I try to charge 12S A123 packs at 2A the LCD readout says "LiFE 2.0A R10 S12".

What is R and S in this context and why is the readout for R = 10? The pack I'm connecting to definately has 12 cells.

I believe that is in reference to the fact that you can only balance 10 cells, but are charging 10 in series.
