No CD

Hello Junsi,

I purchased the 1010+ Charger from Hobby City in HongKong. The charger is the best that I have ever used. I do, however, have a problem. There was no CD ROM disk in the box with the charger, there is a USB cable and a USB port on the charger but no software came with the charger. I would like to update and use the computer software for logging and so on. How do I get the USB software and the download software.
Thank you for a fantastic charger.
Robert.

Links to the CD rom image files are available in the first post of this thread. If you don't have software that can unpack the ".rar" format, download and install "7-zip" which is an excellent freeware program.

5s made up of 3s and 2s

Hi,

Can I balance a 5s pack made up of a 3s and a 2s pack, each with it's own balancing connectors, using the standard balancing board ?

If I plug in 2s in the first 2s slot and 3s in the second 3s slot, will this work ? Cells 3, 4 and 5 are then actually on pins for cells 4, 5 and 6.

It would make life easier if it works, no need for an additional cable.

Thanks.

KR,
Chris

Hi Chris, I'd bet that it should not work because it will look like a 6 cell pack with a dead number 3 cell to the charger.

I think you're right.

found a simple workaround:
- plugged the 3s in the first 3s balancer connector
- plugged the 2s connector in the leftmost part of first 5s connector on the board. (I had to cut away some of the connector)

Works nicely.

Does anyone have a cellpro 10s (or any other IR or impedance tester) and an iCharger? I'm curious about the IR readings of different chargers/testers on the same battery, under the same conditions.

note: I'm not complaining about any chargers IR methodology, just interested in the data.

Hi Junsi,

it seems my charger came with an LM34 (Fahrenheit) sensor instead of an LM35 (Celsius).

Can you send me a correct sensor please ? I sent my mailing address in a PM to you.

Thanks,
Chris

Is the 106B+ able to charge two 3s 5000mah lipos at 1C? (or somewhere there)

2 x 3 x 3.85 x 5 = 116W charging power required. The 106B+ is 250W/10A capable so yes, it certainly can.

I may buy one of these, probably the 106, but what is the minimum input voltage for charging 2S or 3S at 10A? Can I charge these batteries at 10A with a 12V lead acid battery on the field?

The specs talk of 13.5V input voltage for high power charging; with a 12V battery that does not seem very possible, as much as I know. Maybe for a short time, with a freshly charged battery.
