YF-23 EDF Build

I am beginning my build of my Depron YF-23 from Maybz's plans. I'm hoping to have this all done in about a week, two at most. Setup is as follows:

2 Great Planes Hyperflow Ducted Fans driven by a pair of 370BB brushed motors.
MPI-9145 Brushed Speed Control
Thunder Power 3s 1320 mAh
Berg 4 channel Receiver
2 Hitec HS-45 servos

I went ahead and made my templates and started cutting parts yesterday.

77% Mistake

When I tiled the file to print on my computer I got the size wrong. I decided to cut it out and use it to get the sanding down. It came out so good that I decide to install the follong.

GSW EDF 40 w/ feigao motors
cc 10 amp speed controllers
Blue Arrow micro servos
Hyperion 800mAh 20c 3s1p

It all went toghter pretty easy. I had to cut an access hatch in the bottom as th battery would not fit through the canopy.

True, but I can run them on the 3 cell battery I have without damaging them. Neither the motors nor the ESC on my plane will support 4 cell LiPo packs.

I don't remember the number of the cutter, but you can see for yourself what it looks like.

--------

Not too much further to go. With a little luck, I'll have it finished Wednesday afternoon. Maiden planned for Saturday if the weather cooperates.

YF-23 Fan Test.

All I have left to do at this point is the linkages and putting the top parts on. I'll have it finished later this evening. In the meantime, here is some video of me testing the fans.
