@danford1

here you can see the air intake, battery slot, new prop etc.

As I held it in my hands I noticed the motor mount is a bit loose and needs attention.

Next week Lord willing I'll make a start on my next NB.

-Will probably have..

-17" diameter

-1x Blue wonder, 10" prop and 2 cell 350's

-Depron box fuselage, all gear inside as usual.

-Twin rudders

-Bottom side..small rear fins for added directional stability.(maybe)

"-1x Blue wonder, 10" prop and 2 cell 350's "

What kv is that BW?
What pitch on the 10" prop ?

Seems hard to believe that tiny motor can swing a 10" prop and not burn up.
I have a BW 1300. I'm still experimenting with 2s -3s, 8" - 9" props.

Thanks for the pictures. I really like the clean look with servos , ESC and wires hidden.

-It's a 1300kv (Max Load: 7.5A)

-GWS EP Propeller 10x4.7

-Like you I've also used 8-9" props till now..but..

- On this prop I believe it should be pulling a max of 6.5 Amps, giving 11.5 ounces of thrust on two cells. 3 cells would be too much on this prop.

-This 22" is such a light floater that the battery lasts ages, in the end I land the thing out of boredness, most the time I only use one or two of my four 350's batteries when I go flying

-Yep, me too, I dislike all those bits and cables hanging out of our foamies, hence my fuselages lately.

I forgot to mention that my next Depron NB will incorporate interlocking tabs on the fuselage panels, rudder/s etc

I think it will be quicker and easier than making the fus out of pink foam and having to hollow it etc. Even the battery will be inside , with a hatch for access.

I use a 10x4.7 on my epp yak with a similar motor (auw is just under 8 oz)and it works well on 2s but I wouldn't even consider 3s. its garenteed to fail

using the same motor on 3 cells with an 8x4 prop gives 14oz thrust at around that 6A

Usually at 25%, then adjust to suit if required. Some of us like it a bit rearwards for hovering etc.
