Thanks again Dave, good point and I don't want the covering to shrink either because of bowing. I found an EBay supplier of pouches which are either 80 or 100 micron thick (it's not stated clearly which one it is). So far, I cannot find a supplier of rolls of laminate, which would be better for my purpose.

I use the ebay pouches ..
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Royal-Sov...19.m1438.l2649
I use what ever is the cheapest.. and dont worry about overlapping the pouches, overlaps dont show and the doubled layer is extra tough.

NOTE..The film does cool and shrink slightly after ironing, but once both sides of the foam are covered the part can be re-ironed flat, the film on both sides act to cancel each other out, any bowing will go..

Rolls of laminate are too expensive.. and an A3 box of 100 lasts a long time..

how tough??? see my videos here , poor launching caused a lot of crashing on a fast depron delta.. some hard hits with zero damage..

Just wondering Dave how you finished your delta? Solar film or something similar ironed on over the laminate? Surely not paint.

By the way, I also built a delta from an RCM&E plan, not the same one as yours, with an all up weight of 105 grams.

I recently did some messing around with my cheap airbrush and laminating pouches.

I have a couple of types of acrylic paint which I use for spraying straight onto Depron, stuff that artists use in tubes which I thin down with water and small cans from a DIY store which I use straight or thin with a drop of meths if required.

The cheap artists type stuff flakes off of laminating pouches just by rubbing with a finger and really is unusable but the stuff from a DIY store stuck surprisingly well and you could flex the sheet and rub it with a finger nail with no signs of lifting. I even shot some clear PU lacquer over a piece and that was really tough.

However, I just use the tape from HobbyKing, cheap as chips and sticks like to a blanket. Colours cover well and black is that 'solid' that I can cover up the printing on the Corroplast sheets (old election boards)with it.

For 'decals' just stick the tape onto standard kitchen baking paper and use scissors or a scalpel to cut the shape before peeling the baking paper backing off, works a treat.

The checkerboard strip must be some sort self-adhesive decal I suppose.

I do like that delta Dave and I would like to be able to pilot it as well as the fellow in the video. I've saved the link for a future project.

Thanks for the tip Paul. I bought some coloured tape from Banggood recently. I'll see if I can come with something worthwhile.
