Apismelifera,

The outside roof is thatch, but there is a flat inner roof that is made of normal roofing materials.

Millertime,

I like your Buddy too. Looks like Mom likes him as well.

OBW,

Buddy is a little camera shy, but every once in a while he strikes a pose.

Thanks for the well wishes on the project guys.

My beloved dachshund Millie, who had her 13th birthday Dec31/Jan1, had a bit of a scare today. I noticed a protrusion from her rear in the same area she had a tumor removed last year. She was only able to have the surgery because of a donation/Cinderella fund. If this had been another tumor, I'm not sure what would have happened. LUCKILY, it was not a tumor. Thank you God.

Mr. McFee,
New foster kitteh. He has had a hard life, abandoned when his store closed and on the streets for three years being fed from out back of a near by store. He has been diagnosed with stomatitis and has had several teeth removed. He developed an ulcer on the outer side of his right eye which has caused half of the lense to cloud. He arrived with a herpes infection in the eye and very bad upper respiratory infection.
This little guy is the most happy and interactive kitteh one would want. He will not venture out of the office ( I think he thinks that if he goes outside the door will close and he will be stranded again) but follows the human around the office. He often pushes what is on the desk onto the floor so as to have a better sleeping spot.
Two more weeks with me as we get him use to using a litter box again, and then hopefully we can get him adopted.

When I get up in the morning the first thing I have to do is raise the blinds in the kitchen. Reason being, My cats like to look out the window. It is better when it is warm enough to open the window as the cats love to sit in the window then. I took this picture this morning and I think they are anticipating the window being open soon. 13 degrees this morning! I dont think so.

Please help Beagle Rescue get some dog beds.

My dog, a Beagle, has been entered into a contest. It is sponsored by Kuranda Dog Bed company. It is a popularity contest. There are four dogs to choose from. The dog picture that gets the most votes, wins. And the shelter or rescue that is sponsored by that dog, gets the five free beds from Kuranda.

Please vote for "Freckles the Beagle" so that the Houston Beagle and Hound Rescue can win the beds.

Voting can be done every day, for the entire month!

If you have a Facebook account, you can sign in and vote with it. Otherwise you will need to register on the Kuranda site. I know that turns people off though.

Thank you!
