The leading edge within the first 5% or so from the very front point is not critical.

The air splits quite a bit ahead of the leading edge due to compression at the very edge.

You have no reason to be concerned as long as you have a reasonable approximation and it looks good.

RCwings quote

How does it mate up with the fuse "wing saddle"? You may need to work it a little too.

good point I hadn't thought that far ahead.

Oh never mind yet...you probably do not have the fuse started. But something to keep in mind when the time comes. Be careful not to alter the wing incidence if you need to do any shaping on the saddle.

Ok here is where I'm at. Have the dihedral brace and doubler in all epoxyed and curing.

Rob

sux that the clamps left very small dents on the LE...

did I mention I'm starting to dislike the sanding part of this?

I'm starting the fuse and grab the 1st parts the FFS sides and they are both C'd. I've wet them and put weight on them. Hopefully they straighten out. So much for making progress today.

clarify huummm

Yes it is my 1st time build. I've not glued these parts or done anything other than wet them, lay them flat with weight to get them straight before I start. As for technique, I've relied on this and other forums and sites for advice and examples etc.

You are holding the two wing halves together AND keeping the bracing of the wing joiner securely all at the same time. This is the weakest point where a wing will (or if it will) fail and it appears yours won't!

Would that mean you agree with the technique I used there? I looked at other builds for examples of how they did it and went out got clamps that would fit etc.I also spent alot of time prefitting to make sure the dihedral brace fit nice before pulling out the epoxy. It was the first time I have used epoxy.
