Has anybody used this battery for a ZAGI.

Has anybody used this battery for a zagi. Do you think it will work good? Think it give longer flight times?

Its a 1900SCR sanyo 9.6 volt MaH battery pack.

It would work but would likely be heavy enough to offset any performance increase you might see not to mention make the ship fly like a brick. Lighter is better. The new CR1300s look quite promising. I personally am leaning towards the 8x1400 AE packs.

It'll definitely work. I have flown my zagi with that pack, it will fly, but very sloppy, kinda like flying without the winglets. I've even flown with a 7.2volt rc car battery too. You'll definitely get longer flight time, won't climb as well, but is entertaining and a cheap way of getting long flights. Try it, you'll like it, but don't count on doing any rolls.

Those packs are great for something like a TwinJet.

About the biggest pack I like for the Zagi is the 8x800AR which a very good pack for higher amp draws.

Where do you get these 8x800AR's I keep seeing posted here? Are they expensive?
My 400x flies much cleaner with 8x600's than the heavy 1700 that comes with the 400x

New Creations RC (www.newcreations-rc.com) - you can get the 8x800AR's. They are fast-charge cells and work well with the Multiplex 450 Turbo motor, also available from NCRC. Call them and they can tell you what you need to know.

Aren't the 8x800 ARs the same weight as the 1700AU cells that come with the Zagi 400x? I think these two packs use the same size cells (A size). The AR packs just have lower internal resistance, thus motors such as the 450 turbo are able to utilize the greater amp draw from these packs, however, duration is cut down, in part, due to this higher amp draw.
