Holy Crap!

Wow!... I know it may not look like it in the video but you're actually moving along pretty good. I'll bet those monkeys can't hit you with a rock in a slingshot even if they lead you by a mile... LOL.. Huge mountains too!.. Good thing you went around them.
I'll bet that's almost as fast as a 67 Charger with a Hemi..

Thanks guys. Glad you all like it, expecially my little buddy Kameron.

In that video we were only doin about 100knots. Tryin to keep it kinda slow to conserve power if needed. You know, down drafts, turbulence ect... Most of the time were rollin around 120-150 though depending on terrain, gross weight etc.

I'll get some more videos posted when I get the chance.

"Back in my day" taking flying lessons in West Virginia we were always told to look out for possible emergency landing strips/fields. However, in West Virginia those were very far in few between being mostly mountains and trees . I could not help but notice that emergency landing spots in your video were almost as rare. The instructor always told us if we couldn't find a clear spot to aim for the softest trees, which I never considered much of a plan.

By the way, my daughter's still wanting to donate her Cx2. Anybody in your group able to utilize a indoor electric helicopter?

LOL, yeah, you had a good instructor Ben. Trust me, we are always looking for a forced landing area over here. You never know what the next 10 seconds will bring. And yeah, you're right, "good spots" are very few and far between sometimes. I think in some instances, there simply is no where that will be a safe spot to set down without severe damage to the helicopter. Thats when you just hope you dont have any issues in that spot.

As for the CX... I'll shoot you a PM.

Wow, you are really on the deck and moving along. Hope you don't have to set it down in an emergency. Looks like those rocks are not very forgiving.

No wonder we can't find OBL, there is nothing but rock and dirt and some trees and not many of them to land in.

Stay safe Laine,

We can get new choppers, don't need no injuries to personel.

Here's a picture of Hannah. Unfortunately I know there are more recent pictures but I sure as Heck can't find them. She's the shortest on the right. As you can see I'm up to my armpits in women at my house.

I saw women and I began to panic!

But then I realized it was only a photograph, so I guess I can come out from my hiding place.

I was referencing the stereotype that non-hobbyists often have in their minds when it comes to us. I get the feeling sometimes that R/C enthusiasts are viewed in the same light as Trekkies.

I wasn't joking about the Godzilla stuff, though. Fortunately for me, us Godzilla fans seem to be a little better socialized than Star Trek fans. In fact, some of us have even talked to girls once or twice.
