Build Log

Sapac Composite T-45 Goshawk

The new Sapac T-45 has arrived! It comes with the 70mm fan and brushless outrunner motor. It calls for a 3-cell battery. I'll try it on 3 and 4 cells. I will be adding air retracts and will include the process in the build.

It came packed extremely well and looks fantastic!!! The fuse has all the panel lines in it and looks very scale. The wing and stab did not have a single wrinkle in the covering! Comes with a cockpit too which you never see! I have already ordered Hangar 9 1/9th scale jet pilots for it. They are hollow rubber so they are very light.

Here are the retracts and pilots I will be using.

Time to head down to the workshop and get started! I can't wait to get this one flying!

Nice stuff Tumbler!

I'd be making plugs from those duct halves and canopy before gluing them all up!

Looking forward to your build and reports on what you experience making and flying this beauty.

They are plastic halves that get trimmed and glued together. Not really a whole lot to see.

Yeah I am impressed! I have decided it is definetly worthy of a set of $200 retracts.

sweet!!!

I rang airpower and have asked to cancel my order. I had to put it in writing in an email to confirm so we'll see if it goes well.

Meantime - I thought it was a 70mm - even sapacamerica.com lists it as 64mm, which is not right.

It looks like full tail surface control - is that right Tumbler?

MFALLON has worked out a nice way to get me one down here and looking at the fotos so far....drooool.....
