More From Afghanistan

Here are some more current pictures guys.

Nothing says "Goodmorning" like hot cup of coffee, a M240 Machine gun mounted to a UH-60 and a full belt of ammo!

Seems like you all enjoy seeing the pics, so I will keep posting them!

I will try to add some pics of "the guys" as we go along sometime.

Thats so cool man. I've been keeping up with your blog, and enjoy the pictures. Your last entry proves how small the world is! If you don't mind, could you explain what we're looking at in the fourth photo? It looks like fields surrounded by walls?
And thanks for your service!

Oh no Kmopar... you are the camera person at home!!!

Thanks Keith. The 4th pic is where a bunch of locals live just off of Bagram airfeild. It seems they build mud walls around their property. Not sure yet what they grow there, but its basically feilds and houses.

We are also surrounded by walls of mountains. We sit down in a "bowl" if you will at an altitude of aprox. 5000 feet MSL. The mountains all around us are 9000' up to 12000ish.

Oh man, that last one reminds me of seeing the black hawks flying out of Elmendorf and Kulis. They fly over my home town on a regular basis doing avalanche SAR with the state troopers.

The pictures are fantastic...I'm hoping the armed forces PR team doesn't get wind of this blog though. I seem to recall at least a few RCG'rs in Iraq that got their connections banned for posting pictures and video from the war zone.

Anyway, great job on the pictures. Be safe out there man and get back in one piece!

I think we will have to talk about this later, because I think you may be wrong about this.

Keep posting the pictures, we love them. I have been showing them to my wife so she can get a perspective of what are doing around the world. I know we are keeping the peace without to much help from other countries. I guess that is just what Americans do.

Besides, all this chatter will help the time pass and give you something else to do.

We appreciate you letting us borrow Laine for several months. We know it's hard but hang in there. If there is anything that I can do, holler out.
