Jim,
I ran it thru MotoCalk and she will fly on the 46 but I'm going with a Axi 4130 Equiv.

Turnigy 5065-400.

If they keep moving back the release date I may go back to the "RC GUYS" 96" model due out mid April.
Seems like this is a common problem for Horizon.

Don, I talked about this bird with my friend that I work at the hobby shop with and he said it sounded like a pig for the money so I decided against it until seeing flight videos andbought a Super Dimona motor glider that was hanging on consignment,94 inch ws for $80 hard to beat

I was playing with my Dimona this morning getting her ready for spring maiden.

$80 is a hell of a price. I think I paid close to $200 from Hobby Robbers.

Be sure to check the glue on the motor mount.
Mine, and several others had little to no epoxy on the interior plywood mount.

Well my sources inside "Area 51" had good news for me today.

The Pawnee will be out within 7 to 10 days.

I think a power upgrade is a good idea on this new Pawnee.

I predict that the wing structure on the new Pawnee is the same as the 80" H9 Cub. That does fly well on a Power 46...but the new Pawnee is a pound or more heavier that the Cub, plus the drag of the tall cockpit.

It would likely cruise around ok on the 46...but will be better on a 4130 class motor.

Don,I'm still in debate about whether or not to get this one. I have a Hacker B50 that needs a home and produces 1200-1500 watts on 8s 4200.I'll look it over when they come in to the shop, although I need a motor for the Dimona since the current firewall id suited to a inrunner.

Take a look at the Hyperion 3025 series for the Dimona. Perfect fit.

10.4x7 VarioProp

Ran her up yesterday. Looks like a great match.

Don,I do have a 36mm inrunner but it's a little on the heavy side and is a high kv,I work at the local hobbyshop so most likely it will be another medusa,if I could get my Medusa 28-56 1900 off the Protech Alpha jet it's screwed onto I could use it but I stripped the clamp hold down screws during assembly of the motor mount.

Does this plane already have a provision for battery access if built electric? If not, will y'all be taking the wings off or have something else in mind?

I guess the A123 guys will charge in the plane.

OH GREAT!
Now I have to buy more servos and another reciever since I used them for another project!
I guess its better than the late March posted on the Horizon web site. My LHS has one on order for me as well as a couple for stock so I should be hopefully hearing from them early next week.
Thanks for the update Don
