Sundowner 50 fast setups

my new project is to get the sundowner to go very very fast with the lightest possible setup. but i wouldn't mind sacrificing weight for performance if thats what it takes. esprit model is saying to go with Hacker A50 12S, 13x10, on 5s pack. any help on beating that setup would greatly appreciated. cheers!

That was an impressive video of it, BARNESJONR. What was the prop size? I may reconsider ym setup and just do something similar to that. Of course, this being the HP forum, 130 will seem pretty wimpy to these guys.

True...130 is in the rear view mirror of a lot of these folks around these parts! <G>

I sent the guy a email asking what prop he was using. I'll post it here when he responds.

To further torture those poor motors, try 3 blades hubs , you might love it more I love mine ,the sound of 3 blades swinging in the air produce a better audio effect too! I was so carried away to stand the chilly northern wind and caught cold , ....ruinned my rare good long holiday...someone should make a twisted 3 blades hub (though eff should be lowered a bit with one more blade)

I'm wondering at what speed this airframe hits the aerodynamic "brick wall". I think I'd be happy with 130-140 mph, well,, for a while anyway.

A 11x10 prop on a hxt 50x55(= to power 46) with a 5s lipo is really darn fast(I think I am going to try a 11x12,If i can find one). I tried it in my 5lbs 10oz pole cat 50. I know the sundowner would be a faster plane
