some things are just best left alone Movie


a few short clips of some of the alterations I made to GWS Planes just to see and a couple of conversions with GWS parts , most ened up like these, a pile of foam, some did work like a funny park wing on a SS frame and a P 51 wing on a SS frame
The Pink Beaver was over powered and a hand made wing, a total disaster trying to fly it, slow or fast it would just crash

LOL! Brilliant, Steve.

Some of those flights must have had a real high pucker factor!

Some days you get the lift and some days you get the shaft etc.....

I think I see your problem.

Don't try aerobatics immediately on takeoff. I know loops and rolls are fun but a little height and airspeed helps.

A landing pattern is rectangular, not a tight spiral (unless your landing area is about 5 yards across).

Master these and you should be OK.

That has to be the highest pucker to time rate in a series of clips I have seen. No wonder your hair is white! But my hat is off to you for two reasons
- You are an innovator, willing to risk it for something new
- You are willing to share this clip sequence with your friends!

Now that is funny
wish I had 1/100 th of the crashs we had on film, some were great, we had to sweep up the parts they were so small
some of the sucsess's were my own wing for the tiger moth and slow stick, both were improved but both flew fine before I made the wings except I got the moth to go 62 MPH and the slow stick 58MPH with my wings
maybe in the next week I will have a new crash film, I made up a hawk plane and crow, the crow won't be done for a while, I also am making a owl plane
the hawk and crow are 22 inch wingspan and about 17 long, the owl is going to be about 60 inch wings and 24 long some using GWS parts, servos naros, rec and crystal, the crow and hawk weigh about 8.70 ounces with a 1200 mah3 cell, the owl should be around 22 ounces,
I got a little smarter since I made these crash films, I went and bought me 2 blocks of EPP foam 5 inchs by 24X36 and slice it on my band saw from 3 MM to 6 Mm for the bodies and wings which the sheets I sawed can be seen in the owl plane photo, now when I crash I won't have a pile of foam to pick up.
